MG tease the all-new ZS Hybrid

MG recently teased the next generation ZS Hybrid, the successor to their hugely popular crossover SUV.
The ZS established itself as one of the most affordable crossover EVs in the New Zealand market. For the next generation ZS however, MG are dropping the battery-only power and going hybrid.
For those disappointed with that decision, a new crossover EV is expected to be released in 2026 to sit alongside the MG4 in the lineup.
As can be seen in the teaser, the new ZS takes heavy inspiration from the new HS SUV and MG3 that we recently drove. This can be seen particularly in the headlights, taillights and shape of the front grille/bumper.
The powertrain is the same hybrid that can be found in the new MG3 Hybrid+. The 1.5-litre petrol motor paired with a 100kW electric motor produces 143kW/425Nm in the MG3 and we were fans of its performance in the hatchback.
